Day 01: Kuala Namu Airport – Hotel

Upon your arrival at Kualanamu International airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our SWI Team and transfer directly to the hotel. You may take a leisurely rest after long journey on flight.

Day 02: Medan – Tangkahan

After breakfast at the hotel, starting on city tour of Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra. you will visit some iconic landmarks including Maimun Palace, a historical palace of Sultanate of Deli built in 1887 – 1891 under the reigh of Sultan Makmun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah. Visit Medan Grand Mosque, as well as a visit to Chinese Temple which is a largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. Proceed the journey to Tangkahan. Check in hotel and free program.

Day 03: Tangkahan – Elephant Bathing & River Safari

After breakfast, embark to elephant camp to join elephant bathing and get up close to Sumatran Elephants. You will also invite to enjoy elephant ride along the river and through the jungle till to elephant rehabilitation center while you can watch and joining bathe the elephants within one hour trip. Return back to the lodge for free time. You may also have a river tubing at Buluh river where you can have the opportunity to see swarm of colorful butterflies and bathing at Buluh waterfall.

Day 03: Tangkahan – Bukit Lawang

After breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked up by a jeep for your off-road adventure all the way to Bukit Lawang. It takes about 2 hour or 2,5 hours passing through plantation areas with stunning jungle and hilly landscapes. You will enjoy panoramic view at several places before arrive at Bukit Lawang. Upon arrival at Bukit Lawang, check in hotel. You have some free time to explore nearest areas or simply relax at the stunning view where the adventure awaits for tomorrow.

Day 04: Bukit Lawang Orangutan & Sumatra Wildlife Jungle Trekking Tour

After breakfast, you will get ready for orangutan and Sumatra wildlife jungle trekking into lush green jungle where you can immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Sumatra rainforest, crossing the river by canoe and trek through the jungle. This adventure will make you get up close to the nature. On the way through the pristine jungle, keep your eyes on surroundings while you have the chance to see orangutans, gibbon, Thomas leaf monkey, long tail macaques, variety of species of birds and colorful butterflies. Bukit Lawang is one of the entrance to Leuser National Park which is home to Sumatra wildlife including Sumatran orangutans, Sumatran Rhinos, tiger, elephants, hornbill, clouded leopard, Asian golden cat, mouse deer and many more. The park is one of the world’s richest forest system and known as important source of earth’s oxygen producer. Day 05: Bukit Lawang – Berastagi

After breakfast at the lodge, depart from Bukit Lawng to Berastagi traversing scenic route with the breathtaking view of the mountains, catchy Sembahe river till you pass through charming Sibolangit wit mesmerize scenery. Arrive in Berastagi, a city situated in Karo Highland renowed for its cool air and plenteous fruits and vegetables. Then visit Lumbini Park which features a replica of the Swedagon Pagoda, captivating Gundaling Hill adorned with Sibayak and Sinabung volcano. You will also take a stroll to Berastagi fruit market where you can also savor the taste of fresh fruit. Check in hotel and free program.

Day 06: Berastagi – Parapat – Lake Toba – Samosir Island

After breakfast at the hotel, on sixth day of this Sumatra wildlife tour, you will be taken a tour to Samosir Island where you can immerse yourself in Batak Culture and magnificent panoramic view. You can feast your eyes on the breathtaking sceneries, picturesque hills and stunning plantation areas. Stop at glorious of Sipiso-piso waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in Indonesia, as well as Simarjarunjung Hill offer beautiful view of Lake Toba. Arrive in Parapat, board to the ferry and depart to Samosir Island. Continue the journey towards Sipirok while you can enjoy the memorable view of Bukit Barisan mountain range and outstanding landscapes. Upon arrival at Sipirok, check in hotel and unwind comfortably at the hotel.

Day 08: Sipirok – Padang Sidempuan – Rimba Panti Natural Reserve – Rafflesia Sactuary –Bukittinggi

After tasty breakfast at the hotel, depart on scenic drive towards Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. Along the way, you can admire the eye-catching mountain views, rivers, hills, traditional villages, vast rice fields, verdant valleys, dense forest and impressive waterfall. The first highlight of the day to visit is Sijornih waterfall which is splendor in its captivating beauty. Then proceed to Sihepeng Botanical Garden which boasts a complete collections of spices plants and a visit to Rimba Panti Nature Reserve while you can revel in the unspoiled wilderness. As we continue towards Bonjol, we will pass the Equator Line monument. Before reaching Bukittinggi, we will make a stop at Palupuh Rafflesia Sanctuary, which is the rare and largest flower species sanctuary where you can encounter rare flower of Rafflesia Arnoldi (Please note that the blooming of this flower is unpredictable). Day 09: Bukittinggi – Minangkabau Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. On this ninth day of Sumatra wildlife tour, you will explore Bukittinggi and Minangkabau tour. The first destination is Lawang Park, situated on the hilltop offer excellent view of Maninjau Lake. You will be treated by marvelous view while descending the breathtaking 44 curved winding road. Next up, you will visit Sianok Canyon which amazing panoramic view, a Japanese underground tunnel and bunker from the World War II. You will also be stopping at Fort de Cock for a historical tour and famed view of surrounding areas. Proceed to Payakumbuh and visit Harau Valley where you can see remarkable panoramic view of towering parallel cliffs and expanse of rice fields. Return to Bukittinggi. Upon arrival, visit a Clock Tower which is a landmark of Bukittinggi.

Day 10: Bukittinggi – Kerisik Tuo Kerinci National Park

After delicious breakfast at the hotel, check out hotel and proceed to Kerinci Seblat National Park passing through Batusangkar city and Singkarak lake. The first place to visit on this journey is Tabek Patah and Rao-rao village to see amazing Minangkabau traditional houses in origin place rich with cultural heritage and impressive structures. Then visit Pagaruyung Palace while you can get a glimpse into the history of Minangkabau Kingdom, admire the stunning architecture and incredible cultural heritage. Day 11: Trekking Kerinci Seblat

After breakfast, start trekking to Gunung Tujuh (Seven Mount) where you can see mysterious lake located at an altitude of 1.995 meter above sea level. Around the lake and Mount 7 which is part of Kerinci Seblat National Park known as the home to many species of Sumatran wildlife. Here is he home to Sumatran elephants, Sumatran tigers, primates, honey bear, boar and tremendous variety of birds and butterflies. Gunung Tujuh Lake is the highest lake in Southeast Asia surrounded by six mount namely Mount Hulu Tebo, Mount Hulu Sayir, Madura Besi, Selasih, Jar Panggang and Tujuh Mount. Day 12: Tour & Enjoy Atmosphere at Kerinci Seblat

After breakfast, you will be taken to several places including tea plantation in Kayu Aro which is the largest tea plantation in the world and enjoy the atmosphere around Kerinci Seblat National Park.

Day 13: Kerinci Seblat – Padang

After breakfast, head out to Padang along the west coast road. On the way, you will visit Semerup Hot-spring, Kerinci Lake, Ampiang Parak turtle conservation, Carolina Beach and Air Manis Beach. check in hotel and free program.

Day 14: Padang – Airport

After breakfast, check out the hotel and visit several places before the time of departure such as Padang old city and Padang Beach. Transfer to the airport.
